“Pause, look around you and shoot what you see…Live inside each moment. Pay attention to what’s there.” That’s what the August Break is all about.
I’m no stranger to photo challenges. I attempt to tackle Fat Mum Slim’s #fmsphotoaday challenge every month for the past several years, simple because I’m not aesthetically pleasing enough to post selfies for every IG post.
What makes Susannah Conway’s August Break challenge different is the blog connection: You’re invited to make a grander attempt at each daily prompt in August by pausing and reflecting. And honestly, there’s no better place to do that than on one’s blog.
I’ve done at least a few posts for the August Break in 2015 and 2016 (even attempting a daily vlog series to go along with it last year), but this year, I’m going to accept that—while I can handle daily prompts—I’m not tied to them each day. I have responsibilities, goals, priorities. And also, I’m human. Not that Susannah said humans were excluded from participating, but sometimes I forget I’m not a two-hearted Gallifreyan time lord.
Anyway, here are the prompts! I don’t plan to share an in-depth post on each and every post every day, but I have picked out a few to share here that are pertinent to blog content I was trickily planning anyway!
Feel free to join in on IG using the tag #augustbreak2017, and add your blog to the participant blogroll on Susannah’s post… if you want. 🤗
